Qiao Xing Mobile Communication Co., Ltd.

Traded on the NYSE (QXM), Qiao Xing Mobile is, en essence, a Chinese Nokia. They make phones from the very basic, to more modernlooking phones. The 52 Week high/low is 5.50/15.48, today, it closed at $7.75. On April 21st, Qiao Xing will announce it's fourth quarter EPS, which is estimated to be around .33. Reuters claims that in 2007, there were 540 million Chinese cellphone subscribers, and estimates that number to jump to 738 million in 2010. By then, many Chinese cellphone users will be seeking newer and better phones. Who will be there? Nokia and Motorola, probably. But Qiao Xing could become a 'home town' favorite. Institutional ownership of Qiao Xing Mobile is only 7% of the 52.5 million shares. I believe that Qiao Xing will increase a few cents in the coming month and a few dollars in a few months.

First Entry

Hello World! I am currently a student who is fascinated with finance (my major) and I strive to work in the financial industry, hopefully on Wall Street. I have a small portfolio which currently has a value of just less than two thousand dollars. In the future I plan to share stock which I may buy, have bought or simply wish to comment on. Occasionally I may comment on the Federal Reserve System, etc.
